Multimedia

Bulk is a multimedia brand owned by Eisma Industriemedia in Doetinchem (NL). Bulk consists of a professional magazine (in Dutch), the websites www.bulk.today and www.bulkgids.nl and an e-mail newsletter (in Dutch) that is published once a week. Bulk also organizes seminars. A growing activity ist he creation for clients of  'content marketing-products'; such as (website) texts, seminars, brochures and press releases.

Target group

Bulk aims at the food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agro-industry and mineral industry, focusing on the processing of powders and bulk solids. Readers/users are practical-minded plant managers, production supervisors, process engineers, technical managers, designers and engineers who are engaged in the daily operation and processing of solids. Bulk keeps these professionals informed on developments in the bulk market and process technology to help them contributing to the optimization of their production facilities.
Bulk highlights subjects that are related to internal transport, storage and unit operations (such as  grinding, sieving, mixing and drying). Special interest is given to technologies as measurement & control, process automation, energy saving and environment & safety. Other important topics are economic developments, changes in laws and regulations, upcoming trade shows (e.g. Easyfairs Solids and Industrial Processing), study-tours, seminars and product innovations.

Professional magazine

Magazine Bulk is a professional trade journal for the Dutch speaking community in the Netherlands and Belgium. The magazine is published seven times a year, with a circulation of 6,000 copies, of which about 30% is distributed in Belgium. Bulk magazine is HOI-registered (i.e. has a certified circulation). The topics covered can be divided into three categories:

• internal transport (pneumatic conveying, belt conveyors, elevators, etc.)

• storage (silos, big bags, packaging, etc.)

• unit operations (grinding, sieving, mixing and drying, etc.)

Given the diversity of the readers market, all these categories are given attention in every edition. However, each edition has also its own special theme. The articles have a technological, application-oriented approach.

Bulk has two special editions each year: 'Stofbestrijding' (on dust control) in spring, and 'Haven Op- en overslag' (on port storage and transhipment) in autumn.
'Stofbestrijding' is about the control and eradication of dust emissions and removing dust from the production process. This publication is also sent as an attachment with two sister magazines of Magazine Bulk: 'De Molenaar' (The Miller) and 'Magazine Recycling Benelux'.
'Haven Op- en overslag' focuses on the storage and transhipment of bulk solids in and around ports, and has a special circulation, i.e. the ports of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp.

Website and e-mail newsletter

The websites www.bulk.today and www.bulkgids.nl are updated on a daily basis and thus provide the bulk processing industry continuously with relevant information on developments in the market. Readers can also visit the website to access recent editions of the digital issues of Magazine Bulk. The website features a registry of over one thousand suppliers to the bulk processing industry. From each of these suppliers the website lists the full address and the products and brands being sold.

Once a week, an e-mail newsletter (in Dutch) goes out with the main news that was published on the website in the days prior. Bulk also provides thematic newsletters, focusing on a specific topic, such as Weiging & dosing, grinding, sieving, dust control or a major trade show.
